Wearable Art by Norma Sue

May 11th, 2010 4 comments

I always get compliments when I wear this work of art by my sister Norma Sue.  It takes good eyes and sharp scissors, a flair for design, and patience for intricate snipping and sewing.

This is just one of her many beautiful pieces of wearable art. One year I sold a whole bunch of them to my colleagues.  One teacher bought one for each of his four sisters.  It was cool to see people walking around the school with their pretty sweatshirts made in Arkansas by Norma Sue.

Norma is also talented in floral arrangements, writing and creative arts.  She is an asset to any group because she can do so many things, so well.    Over the years she has become known as an inspirational speaker, organizer, and community leader.

I am proud to wear her work of art and am happy to say, “My sister made it!”

Margie’s Garden

People walking by pause to enjoy the splendid array of colors and shapes and fragrances; but a garden like this does not just happen. It takes someone like Margie, who puts in many hours of planning, planting and weeding to turn a plot of ground into a living painting. Lovely.
