More Wearable Art by Norma Sue

.

On a visit home several years ago, two of my sisters: Martha, Linda, and I, had a lot of fun trying on some of the beautiful works of art made by our sister Norma Sue.  As we posed we giggled and acted silly (Linda, no doubt, made us laugh).

Norma Sue joined in the sisterly nonsense while trying to capture the images to add to her catalog of designs.

I’m not sure if she is currently creating her wearable art, other than for family and friends, but if you are interested, here is her email address. She is a friendly person so I’m sure she would enjoy hearing from you.

Mama didn’t get in on the posing that day, she was probably in the kitchen cooking up something wonderful, but I found a picture of her in a pretty green set.  Norma gave Mama many of the warm fleece outfits that were so comfortable, she still loves them.  LMS

California Beauties

On my walk around the block I saw Tom raking leaves under his orange tree.  He invited me to take a couple of oranges. Then I saw Sandy in his yard.  I showed him the oranges from Tom’s place , and not to be outdone,  he pointed to  his lemon trees. I remembered that his lemons are sweeter than most, almost like oranges.  So, I took him up on the offer of picking a couple of lemons.  Here they are, aren’t they pretty?  Thanks guys!

Tasty too!

Elizabeth and Peace

May 12th, 2010 Comments off

Elizabeth and I have become acquainted through the church Bible study group.  She adds her own insight  to the discussions.  With her is her service dog, Peace.  The sweet, loving dog accompanies Elizabeth wherever she goes.  During the class time, Peace lies quietly at her feet and bothers no one.  Elizabeth has an interesting history, as most do by the time they reach her age of 78.  She was a Catholic nun for 18 years and is now a Catholic Quaker. I had never heard of Catholic Quakers but she assured me she is not the only one. As you can see by the way she dresses, Elizabeth marches to her own drummer, but she does it with Peace by her side, and peace in her heart.

Ain’t it the truth!
