Happy Birthday, Norma Sue!

March 6th, 2016 2 comments

First posted March 6, 2010, and is still true!

What a joy it is to have a big sister who looks out for you and makes life easier for you.

That was what Norma Sue did for me, especially when I was a teenager. She lovingly supported me through those difficult years of growing up. Life would have been much harder without her sisterly guidance and kindness.

Now that we seem to be the same age (that happens you know), we enjoy a relationship that is different from when we were younger, but remains warm and special.

Happy Birthday to a wonderful woman, my sister and friend, Norma Sue!

When you don’t know what you are talking about, it is really hard to know when you are finished.

You can’t change the past, but you can ruin a perfectly good present by worrying about the future.

You can usually count on kids to quote you correctly,

especially if it is something you wish you hadn’t said.

Hi Tante,
.
just had to send this to you…I have attached a photo that is NOT photoshopped.   This is an actual intersection here in Keller,   just about 2 miles from my house.
.
Johnson Road is one of the main streets in town and Norma is a street in a subdivision that intersects it.  So yes, my mother Norma Johnson has her own streets! How many of us can say that?
.
Love, Lori
.
She’s been in Texas a year and a half and they’re already naming streets after her?  I knew she was special, but this is really impressive. 🙂
.
Way to go sister dear!

If someone paid you ten cents for every kind word you’ve ever said and collected five cents for every unkind word, would you be rich or poor?

having nothing to say,

refrains from saying it.

It is better to sleep on what you are thinking about doing

than it is to lie awake thinking about what you have done.
